Plan the circuit

Side by side, so you can see the season, the walking and the nearest station for each. Where we have not confirmed something, the cell says so. Always check dates and conditions before you travel — especially with elders.

Not yet confirmed for any of these temples: main months, altitude.

Where this list comes from

  • Oral account: No order-fixing source could be traced, and no verse of any Purana naming the five was reached. The set is concordant across sources; the ordering and the Puranic attributions are not. en.wikipedia.org · seen 2026-09-18
A note for the curious

No order. Secondary sources attribute the origin account to the Skanda Purana and to Srinatha's Bhimeswara Puranam, but neither attribution could be corroborated — the reference article on the Bhimeswara Puranam itself does not mention the Pancharamas at all. The only sequence found is a travel route, not a canon. Note also that the label 'Bhimarama' is applied by different sources to two different temples in this set, Samalkota and Bhimavaram.
